Badminton is more than a sport in Malaysia — it's an identity. From neighbourhood courts in Petaling Jaya to world-class arenas at Axiata Arena, the passion for badminton runs deep in the Malaysian spirit. A9Play understands this love of the game, which is why we built a badminton betting platform that truly respects the expertise of local fans.
Unlike overseas platforms that only offer basic markets, A9Play provides in-depth coverage for every match. You can bet on match winner, total sets, set handicap, exact score of the first set — and many more bet types that let you put your deep knowledge of players and their playing styles to work.
A9Play odds are updated in real time as the match unfolds. If Lee Zii Jia wins the first set comfortably, the odds for the second set shift immediately — giving you the opportunity to make sharper betting decisions based on the live flow of the match.
Your Data Protection: A9Play protects all personal information and financial transactions with SSL 256-bit encryption. We fully comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). For more information, visit Privacy Policy us.
Another advantage A9Play has over competitors is the speed of our system. Deposits via DuitNow or Touch 'n Go eWallet are processed in under 5 minutes — meaning you'll never miss a betting opportunity due to technical delays. Winnings can be withdrawn at any time and are typically completed within 15 minutes.
A9Play also provides live match statistics — head-to-head records, recent player form, set trends and more — all in one clean, easy-to-read display. This helps you place more informed bets, rather than leaving things purely to chance.
Understand every bet type to maximise your winning chances
The simplest bet type — pick the player you think will win the match. Perfect for beginners just getting started with badminton betting.
The weaker player is given a set handicap (+1.5), levelling the playing field when there is a significant skill gap between the two players.
Predict whether the match will finish in 2 sets (Under) or go to 3 sets (Over). A great option if you know both players' styles of play.
Predict the exact score of a specific set (e.g. 21-15, 21-18). Payouts are higher because it's harder to get right — ideal for the analytical bettor.
Combine multiple badminton bets into a single slip. Win them all for a much bigger return. Higher risk, higher reward.
Place bets while the match is live. Odds shift with every point — for players who know how to read the momentum of the game.

A practical guide to improving your chances of winning
Head-to-head history between two players can offer valuable insight. Some players have a strong record against certain opponents even when ranked lower in the world.
Players competing in back-to-back matches within a short period may be fatigued. This factor is often overlooked but can have a significant impact on performance.
A player on a hot streak — say, 5 consecutive wins — tends to compete with greater confidence. Recent form is far more relevant than a full-year record.
Never stake more than 5%–10% of your account balance on a single match. Disciplined bankroll management is the long-term secret of successful players.
What sets A9Play apart for badminton betting in Malaysia
Malaysia and badminton share a bond that runs deep. From the era of Tan Aik Mong and Punch Gunalan putting Malaysia on the world stage, to the glory days of the doubles pairs with Jaleel Ramli, and now the new generation led by Lee Zii Jia — badminton is the sport closest to the hearts of Malaysians from all walks of life.
Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil is one of the most electric badminton venues in the world when Malaysia takes to the court. The deafening roar of the crowd as Lee Zii Jia sends a shuttle screaming into the corner is an experience words can barely capture. A9Play is here so you can be part of that energy — bet alongside and rally behind Malaysia's badminton heroes.
Badminton betting on A9Play is about more than money — it's about a deeper connection with the sport you love. When you have a small bet riding on Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, every point they win feels that much more meaningful. Every one of Aaron's smashes pressing the opponent makes your heart beat a little faster.
A9Play also offers the feature badminton fans want most — live in-play betting. This lets you read the flow of the match before placing your bet. If Ng Tze Yong looks more aggressive and his opponent starts to struggle in the first set, you can back Ng Tze Yong to win the second set while the odds are still in your favour.
For more serious players, A9Play provides match history records accessible directly from the platform. This lets you dig deep into the data — who dominates in the third set, which players tend to drop off after an interval at the end of a set, and a range of other trends that can give you a competitive edge when placing your bets.
